It is with truly heavy and hurting hearts that we announce this Saturday’s Spring Market Day has been cancelled. The health and safety of our community and stallholders has always been paramount, especially now as Covid is at our doorstep. We are mindful of the large number of our area’s elderly and vulnerable and it would be unfair and irresponsible of us to put anyone, of any age at risk. Some events are still considered essential, but you are irreplaceable.
Many of our stallholders have already been greatly affected by past and current lockdowns so we need to ask a kindness….PLEASE support local produce, farming, handamde and artisan small business when and where you can. If they are online – follow, like and share until the cows come home. If they aren’t online but you would like to buy from them with contactless delivery, pop us through an email or DM as we’ll pass on your contact details. Encourage your family and friends to come along to the Markets when we reopen and bring an extra big shopping bag to make up for lost time. We have posted a list of stallholders on our Facebook page who would have been with us on Saturday…please look them up, shop with them, tell everyone about them, start your Christmas shopping with them – anything you can would be truly appreciated.
But you can’t keep a good Market and great stallholders down…watch this space for a Christmas event announcement coming soon. And Covid’s not invited! THANK YOU for your understanding and continued support of the Gloucester Community Market. Please stay safe and take care x
